Q&A with Tom Brittain, MD of HiiLIFE

Tell us a little about yourself?

I have quite an eclectic past work experience, working in PR, Cryogenic Freezers, Wine and finally at Samsung. It was always an ambition to run my own business and have been doing that since 2019. HiiLIFE has grown rapidly from just 2 of us to now a 20 strong team. I’m from Dorset originally and moved back in 2020 and live there with my partner and son.

What is HiiLIFE & what do they offer?

HiiLIFE is a full service technology provider offering design and install services for Audio Visual and Climate solutions for both residential and commercial projects.

Our clients range from large homes to developers and entertainment venues. We have offices in both Surrey and Dorset.

What differentiates HiiLIFE from their competitors?

The largest difference is most companies specialise in one area, whether it be Audio Visual, Climate or procurement of hardware. HiiLIFE has all this inhouse which allows the client one point of contact and streamlined project management.

We are also an official the only One Samsung distributor in Europe which allows us access to the full Samsung portfolio and gives us better offers for our clients.

Do you have any specially targeted products for Wentworth Lifestylers?

We have a showhouse just off the estate, where everything is for sale and is a great opportunity for the community to come and see the technology in a private setting rather than having to travel to a retail outlet.

The real showpiece items are the Samsung Wall and the bespoke gym sound, control and lighting.

What's next for HiiLIFE?

We have bolstered our team on both the commercial and residential sides so it would be more of the same, building long standing relationships with client across their homes and businesses and following their investments into Europe and beyond.
