TOP AESTHETIC TRENDS 2025

PART ONE

Science meets beauty in 2025. The convergence of cutting-edge science and beauty has reached new heights, transforming how we approach personal care and aesthetic enhancement.

Wentworth Lifestyle discovers what is less popular and delves into the groundbreaking technologies and innovative treatments reshaping the beauty landscape and industry experts reveal the innovations set to revolutionize skin health and anti-ageing care.

Botox and fillers are out – Bio Stimulators and Exosomes are in

The demand for dermal fillers has dropped significantly.    Patients now prefer more natural-looking treatments like polynucleotides (often called 'salmon sperm treatment'), which clinics reported a 184% increase in demand over the past year. Thread lifts and collagen-boosting treatments like exosomes are also on the rise.

Dr Leah Totton founder of Dr Leah Clinics, explains, 'Regenerative treatments have transformed the aesthetic market. Polynucleotides and collagen-stimulating options like exosomes offer subtle, natural-looking results. Many clients are shifting away from traditional fillers for these innovative treatments that enhance natural skin quality'.

This shift reflects a growing preference for subtle, natural results. As a pioneer in regenerative medicine, Dr Leah Clinics has seen soaring demand, with expectations that hybrid bio-stimulators and exosomes will dominate the market in 2025. These treatments target both volume loss and skin health, making them the future of aesthetics.

Aesthetic surgeon Dr Glyn Estebanez of Dr. Glyn Medispa describes biostimulators and polynucleotides as a game-changer in aesthetics. 'Biostimulators and polynucleotides are enabling us to just take medical aesthetics one incredibly exciting step further and provide unparalleled results for incredibly natural rejuvenation'.

How do they work?

Biostimulators hydrate the skin’s deeper layers while boosting collagen and elastin production through a process called neocollagenesis. This improves skin elasticity, firmness and volume, addressing both collagen loss and signs of ageing for a refreshed, natural look.

InvisiLift: The Rise of Subtle Skin-Sculpting Technology

2025 is all about lifting, not changing. With growing demand for natural, understated enhancements, the new wave of skin rejuvenation is centred on InvisiLift technology. This new term covers cutting-edge treatments like Thermage FLX, GeniusLift and Endolift, offering skin tightening and contouring without altering facial features. These treatments focus on boosting collagen and improving elasticity, with minimal downtime, attracting a younger audience keen on prevention rather than correction.

Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency to tighten skin and prevent early signs of aging.

GeniusLift combines microneedling with RF energy to lift and firm deeper layers of skin.

Endolift’s laser tech melts fat while tightening, redefining the jawline and boosting overall firmness.

High-tech lip augmentation

As natural-looking lips return to favour, innovative treatments are replacing traditional fillers. The Thermage Lip Lift offers a subtle solution for those experiencing age-related lip volume loss, which typically begins around age 25. This non-invasive radio-frequency treatment stimulates collagen production, gradually restoring youthful plumpness and smoothing fine lines without the obvious appearance of fillers.

Coined 'The London Lip Queen', aesthetic doctor Dr Rita Rakus comments, 'Young lips contain lots of collagen which makes them plump and smooth. As we age and lose the collagen in our lips, we begin to see loss of volume, crepey skin, and them appearing thinner than they may have looked when we were younger. By using Thermage FLX on the mouth area, we can lift and tighten the skin above the cupid's bow to add volume and tighten, smooth, and plump the skin on the lips. Having filler in your lips is not a long-term solution to achieving your ideal pout as you are not replacing any of the collagen that is lost in the ageing process. Over time, for those who have had filler in the lips to try and achieve a youthful pout, the lips can look ballooned, lumpy and not in harmony with the rest of the face. For a patient who wants to reverse this, removing this and starting again can be an uncomfortable treatment'.

Dr Rakus added, 'To achieve a plump pout that stands the test of time, it is necessary to introduce other plumping and lifting solutions for the mouth area. A Thermage Lip Lift is in my opinion an ideal treatment to have as it encourages new collagen production, tightening, lifting and plumping the area. This reduces the need for regular filler in the lips, and works great for people looking to avoid filler altogether too'. The Thermage Lip Lift can be paired with Polynucleotides to rejuvenate the entire area improving the skin quality improving elasticity, thickness, hydration, and pigmentation.

A typical treatment takes only 30 minutes and patients can return to their normal day straight after. One of the biggest advantages to Thermage FLX is that only one treatment is necessary to achieve long-lasting results, with the appearance of the lips continuing to improve for several months after the treatment as the body continues to produce more collagen. A touch-up treatment is recommended yearly to maintain your desired look.

In Part Two we look at the rise of the 'Weekend Surgery'.
