Jake Clarke-Salter, professional footballer and founder of JJ Chauffeurs, shares with Wentworth Lifestyle the inspiration behind launching his executive luxury chauffeur service.

Tell us a little about yourself?

I’m, a professional footballer currently playing in the Championship for Queens Park Rangers. I’ve been fortunate enough to represent England at various youth levels and gain experience across the Premier League and abroad. Alongside my career in football, I’ve developed a strong interest in business and entrepreneurship, which led me to start JJ Chauffeurs, combining my eye for detail with a passion for delivering a premium service.

Why did you decide to set up JJ Chauffeurs?

The idea for JJ Chauffeurs came from personal experience. As professional athletes, we often struggled to find travel solutions that were not only premium in quality but also trustworthy, discreet, and tailored to our lifestyles. I wanted to create a service that caters to high standards whether that’s for athletes, executives, or individuals who simply value luxury and professionalism.

What’s the most unusual place you have been asked to take someone?

One of the more memorable journeys was a last-minute request to drive a client from London to a private estate in the Scottish Highlands right in the middle of a snowstorm. It was a long, challenging drive, but we got them there safely and on time. We’ve also had clients request trips to Amsterdam and Paris, which we’re always happy to accommodate. No request is ever too much, we’re all about going the extra mile, quite literally.

What are your future plans for JJ Chauffeurs?

Our aim is to establish JJ Chauffeurs as the leading luxury travel service for athletes, entertainers, and high-net-worth individuals across the UK and Europe. We’re continuing to grow our fleet and expand our team, while building partnerships with trusted lifestyle brands and exclusive communities like Wentworth to offer even more value to our clients.
